Many of you knew Ron Gallegos. Some of you surfed with him. More of you had your best surfing photos taken by him. You know, the ones you showed anyone who showed the faintest glimmer of interest in seeing a picture of you surfing. Ron recently passed away and his paddle out will be on Sunday, November 22, 8am at the Powerhouse Park in Del Mar. See you there.

Cold air, high tide and fat waves on tap this morning. Waist to chest high, inconsistent but showing hints of some fun corners. The inside section is got the best shape just watch out for Leith who is body surfing it. Clean conditions and smooth sea surface. No wind. The tide is not high (6.1) for 2 hours but it is already bumping the base of the bluffs. Next low tide is at 4pm (-0.3).
