Moderate NW winds (9mph) have put a significant bump and chunk on the water. Whitecaps here and there. Surf is all crossed up and in the chest to head high range. There are 4 guys out giving it a go on the sandbars in front of the grass area. Short, dumpy rides with an unhappy ending. Just past a 5.5 high tide. A -0.2 low tide at 1pm.

Sunny skies, mild temps and lots of surf. Same W swell combo giving us shoulder to head high stuff; going + on the sets. Somewhat walled up due to swell direction but if you know the reef contours you can whirl in to a big fat corner and get a decent ride. Set waves are tightly packed so don't take the first one. Just coming off a 5.1 high tide, reaching a 0.2 low at 12:30pm. Glassy sea surface conditions with no wind. About 6 people out.

Medium period west swell spinning off waist to chest high surf. Somewhat walled up but there are some corners about. Glassy sea surface conditions. Freshening SW breeze. Very unhealthy water quality; 11 on a scale of 1-10. Clearing skies with rainbows. Medium tide on the way out to a 0.6 low at noon. Next high will be at 6:30pm (3.4 feet). About 10 people out.

A rainbow smudge with a mix of swells in the water. Main muscle is from a large 12 second WNW swell with a smaller, shorter period S swell providing reinforcement. Surf is in the 7-10 foot zone and all over the place. Larger sets. Sea surface is smooth and winds are very light. Medium dropping tide going to a 1.6 low at 10am then back up to a 2.8 high at 4pm. No one out.

Batten down the hatches! All hands on deck! Rising seas; SSE winds at 14mph and torrential rain on the horizon. 6 foot+ storm surf; due to double that later today. Tide is falling (1.8@8am). A 3.0 high tide at 1:30pm. Stormy sea surface conditions and no one out.

Bright, sunny and cold. Much larger crowd than yesterday enjoying some chest to shoulder (somewhat inconsistent) high surf. Best just south of the reef. Calm winds and smooth sea surface conditions. Major fog bank lurking just offshore. 1.9 low tide right now. Filling in to a 3.6 high at 12 noon. About 30 people out.

Cold, damp and foggy. Smallish WNW swell with some inconsistent waist to chest high surf. Slow and mushy overall but shape is pretty good. Sets are just about shoulder height with better overall shape and form. Light NE breeze with a smooth sea surface. Low tide now but on the rise to 4.3 feet at 11:30am. 0.9 foot low at 4:45pm. Very light crowd; only 3 people out.

6.8 high tide right now. No beach and the white water is running up the ramp. There is a westerly swell running that's kicking out some waist high surf. But the tide has sucked the life from it. And then there's the issue water quality; it's bad. Not only in terms of microbiological contaminants but physical hazards as well; tree stumps, limbs and the like. Glassy sea surface; no wind with air temps in the low 60's. Low tide at 2pm of -1.5 feet. Lots and lots of beach real estate for your afternoon walk.

Whoa!! It's large; very large. Massive, 8-10 foot set waves washing through the lineup this morning. The tide is right and there are some select corners to be had. Get the right one in the right place and your going to get a left that goes on forever. The wrong one; you get pitched. Major arm burn getting out; long boarders are not having much luck; gotta be able to duck dive this morning. No wind, smooth sea surface. Tide is low and still falling (1.4@ 8:30am). High tide of 3.5 at 2pm. About 30 people out.

Shoulder to head high on a walled up, mostly closing out west swell. There are a few bright spots just south of the reef but the low tide and swell direction is overwhelming the reef line ups. And the sandbars at Tres Palms. A cold morning with air temps in the mid 40's, water temps in the high 50's and cloud cover obscuring the sun. A 4.1 high tide around 12:30pm then a 0.9 low at 7pm. Light NE breeze with a smooth sea surface. About 25 people out.

Shoulda been here yesterday. It's as foggy today as it was bright and clear yesterday. Can't see anything but the ankle high shore break. Low tide. High tide of 4.8 at 11:30am. No wind. Air temps in mid 40's and as far as I can tell, no one is out.
