Looking west at the crest of Del Mar Heights road I saw lines on the pacific stacked to the horizon. A good sign? Once at 15th street I saw a jammed parking lot, guys hurriedly pulling on wetsuits and a mist that hung in the air.
It's got to be epic I thought. About 50 other guys thought the same thing; more arriving all the time. Soon there will be at least 60 out.
It's ok but not epic and the crowd is out of proportion to the waves. It's about waist to chest high with long, walked up head high sets every 5 minutes or so. Glassy conditions and sunny. I'll get a few photos to post later.
