Head to overhead+ this morning. And that's the reef; 11th street is bigger still. Big fat closed out walls for the most part. Some lulls with not much to ride in between. Wave faces are smooth but the sea surface is really bumpy; the result of NW windswell colliding with the swell from the south. A crowd of 50+ are not playing nice; more that a few collisions and snakes abound. But, it's a beautiful sunny morning in San Diego, the water is in the high 60's and the sting rays haven't shown up yet. 3.8 foot high tide at 9am and then a 1.8 foot low at 2pm. Life is good and the surf will get better; I promise.
