Eddy conditions this morning. Brisk south wind has put a lot of texture on the water and is messing with the shape. In fact, it's pretty hacked up. Predominantly a short period west swell. Waist to chest high crumblers with some pick and chose corners. 9 people out. And one sweeper. A below average surf day in Del Mar. Chuck turned me on to a new surf app.
It's called Surf SD and it's free. A nice single screen animation gives you swell direction, wave heights, wind direction and speed, photos of popular surf spots and tide graph.
