Post Storm Conditions

Surprisingly clean conditions for storm surf. I'm not speaking to water quality here, just the sea surface. 4-5 feet, offshore with marginal shape. Nobody out.

Remember, public health officials ( and even retired ones like me) recommend not going in the water for 72 hours post rain event. This is sound advice as it keeps you from coming in contact with all the oil, grease, trash, food waste, chemicals, dog & cat shit, human excrement, fertilizer, pesticides, spit, medical waste, infectious waste and on and on and on that is carried directly to the ocean by rain water runoff in the regions' stormwater collection and discharge system.

Amazing that it's the 21st century and we still haven't figured out nor do we appear committed to devising and implementing a effective and efficient stormwater collection and management system. We suck.

Have a good one and think about that some.
