A Bit More Pop: AN UPDATE
UPDATE: Right after I posted this report the surf completely and totally died. Flatter than a pancake. Nada, less than zero. The entire lineup is stuck out there desperately trying to catch a ripple to shore. Some chose the paddle of shame.
A wind swell crept in overnight and crossed up the longer period south swell, producing some tasty peaks on and just south of the reef. Glassy conditions, 20 guys out (including Luke and Clay), thigh to waist high. Long lulls = lots of waiting = party waves when the sets show up. But the crowd is spread out enough that you should be able to shake off a few of the snakes if you're crafty enough.
Have a good one
Aloha
