Onshore wind
Has put a lot of texture on the water and crumble on the waves. And there are waves every now and again. Long waist to chest high lines with not much of a ride in them. Closed out, sectiony and fairly dismal. 16 people out. The wind is picking up speed. A good beginning to the first day of May Gray.
Have a good one

Well,
Except for an ugly SW wind, a minus tide (and still dropping), and a swell that is a no show, things couldn't be better here at 15th street. There are some waves of course (chest to shoulder) but they are long, lined up crumbly close outs without much going for them. 8 people out desperately scratching for something, anything, that will get them back to the beach.

More swell...
Less water. Just now coming off a -1.0 tide so it's kinda drained the shape right out of the waves. Predominately short period windswell with some building medium period south. Waist to chest; poor to fair shape. A bit of chunk on the water and an increasing SW breeze. Ok conditions. Needs more water and more of that south swell to fill in.

It comes and it goes...
Today it looks like it's gone. Good conditions, rising tide and left over south swell. Very, very inconsistent; like a lake in between sets. Looks to be in the waist high zone this morning with impossibly long waits. 12 people out. But it's Friday, it's sunny and the water has warmed up some. What more could you want?
Have a good one
