Squadrons of Sting Rays

patrolling the inside was the most exciting thing in the water this morning. Wait, I think the seal coming up out of the water like he was being pursued by a Great White was much more exciting; especially since that was the Shark Week episode i watched last night!

Otherwise it was calm and glassy, 14 guys out with at least that many getting ready. Waist high, best on the sets.

Long lulls with not much going on in-between. Water was warm.

Less Crowded

About the same as yesterday except with a northeast breeze (eddy?) on it. Knee to waist high inconsistent sets. 15 people out.

Kenny reports that the water temp is warmer than yesterday. With the crowd as small as it is, it's probably worth a go out but the wind is getting stronger as I write this so hurry up!

Timing the Sets

Sets are 15-20" apart; waist to chest high (if you're short). Absolute dead flat calm in between. Still, if you're patient

and find yourself in the right spot, there are some rides to be had. Check out Luke, "slotted" on this pretty nice left.

Or Clay (hey I'm just back from Hawaii) on this right.

Slim Pickin's

Swell has dropped off a lot from yesterday. Clean, glassy conditions with the best waves on the inside. Waist high, 8 people out including Chuck.

Again, 11th St is doing a much better job of pulling in the waves.
