Lots of

runoff from yesterday's rain event. Poo index dial is now resting on 11. And the actual surf is crappy as well. Knee to waist high windswell; no shape, no focus, no reason to be in the water. And there won't be till Sunday at the earliest.

Short rides...

Smaller very short period windswell, low tide. Waist to chest closed out surf. Light westerly breeze, sunny but cold. One guy out at 15th and about six at 20th. More tide may help but that will be a race with the wind as it turns onshore.

Relentless...

Very short period chest to shoulder high storm surf marching through this morning. Head high sets. Poor shape and no length of ride. Bumpy surface conditions with a fair amount of chop throughout the lineup. 6 people out; way out, dodging shifty peaks and maneuvering to be in the right place at the right time. Lots of water moving around. Light offshores.

Offshore breeze

Very clean (ocean surface wise) with knee to waist high surf that is walled up and closing out. The rain last night produced some runoff so the poo index is high (not clean). I'd give it a few days to clear out before venturing into the water. But there are two people out who obviously don't agree with me.
