More size...

But very inconsistent. Glassy conditions with a slight NNE breeze. Waist to maybe chest on the sets. Sets are lined up and closing out. Hard to catch and you have to be right on the peak to get into them. 15 people out. That's Luke on the video.

The lump is gone

Sea surface has cleaned up and smoothed out leaving us with a flat surface and some waist high SSW lines showing. These are the precursors of the swell that should start building late today. Right now though the line up is about 50 yards from shore and weakly crumbling over in the shallow water. Occasional larger set waves. 12 people out.

Despite the rain

Conditions aren't all that bad. A slight ripple with some NW breeze and a minus tide. There are some bumps out there that are trying to be waves but even with the negative tide not much is happening. Mostly knee to waist high shore break with some slightly larger inconsistent sets. Overall; weak, crumbly and hard to catch. But that hasn't stopped the crowd of 30+ from trying.

Freakishly low

Tide this morning. Light swirling winds and a mix of swells bumping into each other. Lumpy surface conditions with mostly small drained out surf. Except for the inconsistent set waves. Those are head high and exploding onto the reef with a lot of energy. A kind of energy that only close outs can produce. 6 people out paddling this way and that, searching for that spot where the swells collide to produce a surfable peak. As in life itself.
