Photos: Solid Surf at 15th Street

Friday; day 2 post storm.  Crisp and clear; solid surf, clean conditions.  Autumn in San Diego.  Who says we don't have seasons?

Offshore and Cold!

Clean conditions but dirty water from the rain on Wednesday. Head high plus with fair to good shape. Bigger sets are closing out so you have to pick and chose or you'll get thumped big time. 15 guys out. All sitting well outside the usual lineup. Not too much to ride in-between sets. But the waves are beautiful this morning. Will have some photos up later today.

The Wicked Wind Whispers

And moans. Guess what? It's blown out! 12 knot WNW winds already. And as you can see in the photo, terrible storm damage here in Del Mar.

Storm surf is running head high and then some. No one out. Good day to catch up on stuff you've been putting off for whatever reason.

That Pesky

Red tide is still hanging around and there is no surf to speak of this morning. Short period knee high (maybe) wind swell peaks all over the place. Calm conditions; nobody out. There is, however, a rainbow out. Promise of future surf? One can only hope.
