Slim Pickin's

Swell has dropped off a lot from yesterday. Clean, glassy conditions with the best waves on the inside. Waist high, 8 people out including Chuck.

Again, 11th St is doing a much better job of pulling in the waves.

Better than a lot of people expected!

Yes yes, the post is a little later than usual today. But I just had to get in the water as soon as I pulled up today. Only about 12 people out and good conditions.

Overcast, very clean and super glassy. Quite a few swell angles in the water today causing some doubling up but it is also creating some nice clean and glassy peaks that pop up here and there from time to time. Waist to shoulder high. One of the better days here in quite some time.

One of the other reasons I wanted to get right in the water this morning is that Chuck was out there. That's right, after almost 5 months recovering from a broken left ankle Chuck is once again antagonizing the unsuspecting, staring down kooks and snaking his friends in his role as the Sargent at Arms of 15th street! How sweet is that?

So, Luke, John (that's right Barb, your John), Chuck and I shared some nice waves this morning; priceless.

If You Must

Still some energy on the rare set waves but overall it's small and gutless. Knee to waist high. A light north wind is adding some bump to the surface and some crumble to the waves.

About 20 people out including Luke. Looks like 11th street is doing a much better job of pulling in what swell there is. Crowd is wildly dispersed, mostly to the north and south of the reef.

WIND!

Other than to say that it is overcast, cold and breezy, I'm not going to mention the weather today.

Big fat south swell lines showing with a bit of morning sickness on the water. Waist to shoulder high with fair to good shape. 20 people out. Now if that north wind would back off a little.

Luke and John are among the many happy people in the line up.

Have a good one
