Wait For It

Swell has dropped of considerably. 2-3 feet with some waist to shoulder high short period sets pushing through moderate surface chop. East winds at about 3-4 kts (I know this from my finely calibrated sense of wind speed) holding up some long walls that are peaking on the reef. 7 guys out.

Not much going on in between sets except to sit there and shiver. If you're desperate to get out before the weekend storms this may be your best bet.

This will be my last CSSR post from this location this month. Starting tomorrow afternoon (and for the next 30 days) I will be posting from various spots on Oahu. Save me a spot in the lineup. Have a good one.

On the Rise

Bigger but sloppy, disorganized and walled up. Glassy, 3-4 ft with some head high sets

standing up on the reef. 13 guys out pretty tightly grouped on the peak. A serious rip just south of Tres Palmas.

Looks like the sun has a slight chance of breaking through which would help with the chill factor. Have a good one.

If Wishes Were Waves.......

There would be a lot more of them today. Slight surface bump from the offshores, knee to waist high with about 16 guys out including Chris, Luke and Rodney.

Set waves are crowded; 4 or more people on each one. Kenny's assessment: " They're barely breaking". And compared with yesterday and the day before, he's right. Keen powers of observation I'd say.

Skin man just paddled out. What us it about his personal ecology that prevents him from wearing a wetsuit? Maybe I should ask him sometime. Anyway, have a good one.

I Love Mondays

Cause most everyone is at work! Still some size on the

sets (shoulder high). Good tide with glassy conditions. A bit walled up but some corners can be had if one is in the right spot. 13 guys out and Luke is one of them. Gonna watch for a while before I decide if i'm going out or not. Have a good one.
